 What is the MID of the media? Have you tried an NEC 3540?

 I use hacked F/W to defeat Riplock on my NEC 3540. It really makes a
 difference to go from 4x to 16x.

 Some people also use it to defeat Region Codes, but that is not an
 issue for me.

 I am not bothered by hacked strategy tables since I force the max burn
 speed in Decrypter.

 The new NEC 3550 supposedly does not implement Riplock, so I won't be
 using hack F/W with it.
