Hi - I have a Sony Digital8 Handycam. The software that came with it is
crap (it tells me that a 15 second shot can't fit on a hard drive with 100Gb
of free space). Can anyone recommend a dead simple piece of PC software
that will transfer my tapes to my hard drive and thence to a DVD. I don't
want to be Peter Jackson - just want to be able to add titles, get the
software to split the tape into individual scenes with no intervention from
me. That's it. I don't mind if the software has all sorts of flashy
transitions and so on though I doubt if I will ever use them as I have all
the artistic ability of my coffee mug. Did I mention I'd be happier if it
cost me less than $100, too.
