Use Nero Speed DVD V4.1 to do a test DATA burn.
It will show you a graph as its burning away. Then save it as HTML or
a screen grab.
To do a DATA test using your LG 4167 drive.
Load Nero Speed DVD 4.1
Run Test (Menu at top of screen)
Create Data Disc (F9)

You'll have to wait for the next firmware update.
I took out the LG 4167 as I found the drive to slow to use. I went
back to the LG 4163 to place in the PC along with a Pioneer 109 and
have several other models and brands in USB2 cases hanging off my PC.
Verbatim CDR media went from 3 minute burns to over 16 minute burns
after firmware DL12 was installed.
My computer is a Pentium IV 3.0Ghz with 2Gb of RAM, running two
Seagate 160Gb Serial ATA drives. Software: WinXP Pro (SP2), Nero
6.6.0.18
Now its a waiting game on the next firmware update.
Often can take drive makers 3 or 5 firmware updates before they get it
just about right.
