Incidentally, oh oraclePage 197 of the manual (which I have read from cover to cover) is headed
 "Viewing pictures recorded on a tape or live from your camcorder - USB
 streaming".  Now, I don't profess to be a guru like you but that, and the
 following 5 pages that also cover how to capture moving pictures, does imply
 to an idiot like me that the camrea can be connected to a computer with a
 USB cable.  The USB socket on the camera and the USB cable supplied with the
 camrea tend to lead towards that conclusion, too.  So do the many unhelpful
 responses I have had from Sony tech support.
