There are basically two types of these Media players,
those that can do HD and those that can't.

Those that can do HD are based on one of the two chipsets
out for this purpose. Many use the chipset that is in the
"Buffalo LinkTheater" that I've had for some time now. So
far I have no complaints, it's doing everything it claimed it can
do. A major benefit of this one is that it can work with a
firmware media server built-into their NAS. I can play any of
the media on my Buffalo TeraStation NAS, without having to
turn on a computer or run a server on one.
