You will not be able to defeat Macrovision if you go with a combo
because you can't insert a Sima in between the VCR and DVDR.
Get the ILO DVDR05-MU1-5.40 (look for the serial number on the box) at
W-M for $99. Get a low-cost Panasonic VCR at W-M or Best Buy for $60.
That's cheaper than a combo.
