Good question. The most likely answer is that the user thought he was
flashing the drive firmware but was flashing the PC BIOS instead. I
agree it's not easy to be that mistaken, but how else would you
explain a drive upgrade causing PC BIOS issues? The two simply aren't
related otherwise. (Other than via the user, I mean.)
