I have a Philips DVD Recorder 3355 that was sent to me as a replacement
for a Magnavox that died under warranty. When I record directly from
the cable, it says it is recording in stereo. However, if I hook it up
to my digital cable box, it says it is recording in mono (even though
the cable box is a digital cable box). Is this possible? Or is the DVD
Recorder just reporting the recording settings wrong? BTW, it won't let
me change the settings and insists that it is recording in mono. Any
help is appreciated.
