I have a Samsung DVD-V4600 combo (VHS/DVD) combo unit. It is listed at
videohelp.com and elsewhere as being DVD+R compatible. However, I get mixed
results. It plays generic "Value Disc" (Office-Max brand) DVD+Rs just fine,
also plays recent Imation DVD+R just fine. However Fuji and Memorex DVD+R
will not play at all. (With the Memorex I tried a 4x disc from 2004 and a
more recent 8x disc, both flopped.)

I can't see anything at the Samsung website, videohelp.com or Google
newsgroups about any firmware update.

Is there anything I can do, or is it time to sell this unit and get another
one without compatibility issues? (I tried calling Samsung can't get anyone
on phone.)
