Unless you plan to make remote controls your hobby, why not just get
the 8910 from amazon for $20, and save yourself a lot of grief. It has
all the features you need to program it for the Cyberhome once you
call tech support and modem the new codes over the phone.
There are several features that I like, for example, the ability to
program a key to perform the same function no matter what mode you are
in. When I push the Mute key, it mutes the TV even if I am in the DVD
mode. The same for Up Vol and Dn Vol.
There are 3 macro keys which accept up to 15 different key actions.
There is IR Learning which I used to customize the keys at the bottom.
I printed a copy of the picture of the unit with a legend I added in a
paint program telling me where the keys are so I can glance at it if I
momentarily forget which key does what.
I have 4 devices on the remote - TV, DVDR, DVD Player, VCR and after a
little planning I managed to get all the essentials on to the remote.
But then I had the UEIC remote from RackShack for several years so I
am familiar with its operation.
