I had the Sony S560D until it died. Pure crap. Not one of Sony's better
designs. In fact, while it was acting up, I did a Google search on the
mother and found a whole raft of service updates and a neat class action
lawsuit (in Canada) against Sony for the shortcomings of the machine.
Sony lost. So - I replaced a $300 Sony with a $60 Philips. The Philips
works just fine and can be set to multi-region with the remote. Plays
everything - NTSC, PAL, etc.
