Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of THE A-TEAM: SEASON THREE, THE
BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY, BLONDE, CANDY DULFER: LIVE AT MONTREUX 2002, CLASS OF
1984, EDVARD MUNCH, THE FRISCO KID, SATAN'S BLOOD, THE STRANGE LOVE OF
MARTHA IVERS, and THE WEATHER MAN:

THE A-TEAM: SEASON THREE (reviewed by Cynthia Boris, overall
score 75/100):
"On the surface, The A-Team appears to be a macho, male-audience-
oriented action show, but I'm here to tell you that those boys have
a female fan following that puts the male numbers to shame. It's the
ultimate buddy show with lots of fun, snarking, faux danger, and
cute guys."

THE BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY (reviewed by Joel Pearce, overall score 88/100):
"As a bui doi, Binh is the prototypical outsider: He looks American to
the Vietnamese, and Vietnamese to the Americans. He is a person with no
place, no people, no value."

BLONDE (reviewed by Cynthia Boris, overall score 75/100):
"Poppy Montgomery makes a wonderful Marilyn whenever the director allows
her to rise from her somnambular state. Patricia Richardson and Ann-
Margret are both terrific actors, but you wouldn't know it watching
this. Richardson is just too sitcom-queen to carry off the psychotic
edginess of Marilyn's mom, while Ann-Margret is too much of a screen
queen herself to play the fading-rose grandma."

CANDY DULFER: LIVE AT MONTREUX 2002 (reviewed by Steve Evans, overall
score 83/100):
"Jazz fans who love Dulfer -- and I'm one of 'em -- should consider this
DVD essential viewing, pixelated or otherwise. The lady can play that
funky music."

CLASS OF 1984 (reviewed by Dennis Prince, overall score 83/100):
"The picture plays like your typical cracker-box theater filler or drive-
in dreck, the sort of low-budget fare that either duped unwary ticket
buyers or was actually sought out as a potential for laughs following an
ad hoc pot party in the parking lot."

EDVARD MUNCH (reviewed by Jesse Ataide, overall score 95/100):
"Ingmar Bergman himself is quoted as saying that Edvard Munch is a 'work
of genius.' You don't have to take my word for it, but are you willing
to contradict the Swedish master?"

THE FRISCO KID (reviewed by Jonathan Weiss, overall score 76/100):
"How many Westerns can you think of that feature an orthodox Jewish
rabbi from Poland? Go on take a minute. Rack your brains...anything?
Exactly. That's why The Frisco Kid is such a revelation."

SATAN'S BLOOD (reviewed by David Johnson, overall score 75/100):
"Wooh boy. I think the filmmakers chose the wrong bodily fluid for the
title of this crazy-ass flick."

THE STRANGE LOVE OF MARTHA IVERS (reviewed by George Hatch, overall
score 98/100):
"Martha Ivers marked the film debut of Kirk Douglas at age 29 and he
delivers a surprisingly standout performance as a foundering
milquetoast. Despite his strong jaw, here Douglas creates a decidedly
weak-kneed character, who can barely merit the audience's pity. Walter
is a despicable character and anyone expecting Michael 'Midge' Kelly in
Champion or Spartacus is in for a shock."

THE WEATHER MAN (reviewed by Patrick Bromley, overall score 91/100):
"This isn't really a story at all, but rather a brief window into one
man's life. We're not there to pity him. We're not there to laugh at
him. We're just there to listen to him, and to try and understand what
he's going through."
