I apologize if this is off topic, but I don't know where else to ask. I've
been googleing quite a bit with no luck.
I'm having problems playing back about 2/3 of the video files I have on my
computer. Video's I captured, video's that I've been emailed, view on web
pages and more. MPG, WMV, AVI, some of each of these files are affected
but some I can play normally.
When I play them, the picture is divided in to 4 or 5 rectangular boxes
with vertical lines separating the boxes. Each picture is a distorted
portion of the video (At one time I could play these files fine). The
audio is fine.
I've tried to take screen shots so I can show what I'm talking about, but
the picture comes up blank (ALT-PRTSCR). I could use a digital camera and
take a picture if someone wants to see what it looks like.
Any idea how to fix this or troubleshoot this issue? If there is a more
appropriate newsgroup, please let me know.
Thanks in advance,
Kevin
