Thanx Andrew,
Our TV is 4:3 and our DVD player is older than the TV - a Panasonic
DVD-A120. We can select 4:3 or 16:9 viewing but we can't do any kind of
zooming or stretching and I don't see that selecting the DVD player 16:9
option has done anything in the past.

I've been searching on-line for a DVD player or player/recorder that will
allow us to stretch or zoom the 16:9 videos to more fully fill the 4:3
screen but either it's not mentioned in the literature or I'm looking for
 the wrong terminology.

Do you have any suggestions as to players that will do what I want to do?

 Wayne
