I picked up a Lite-On a while back and returned it a few hours
later. In the instruction manual, the warn you that the firewire input
may not work with all digital camcorders. It worked with neither of my
two digiital camcorders nor could it recognize firewire video output
from my computer. In fact, I don't see how it could work with any
camcorder, since it appears to want to send signals both ways and my
understanding is that that functionality is not included in USA DVD
recorders.
