I'm pretty sure you can set the DVD player to zoom in and cut-off, or just
make it think you have a 4:3 TV, even with older decks, can't you?

Hey, I have the 16x9 TV and I can't believe how much is cut off when I get
"letter boxed" on that.

That's why you learn to love the "anamorphic wide screen" I think it's
called and the 16:9 TV. It's not perfect, but it's very nice.

(now, who knows the thing is going to look like with HD-Movies... !)
