After more than a decade posting here, without a single for sale post
- brace yourselves, I'm gonna break that string.
I've just released a video editing product for sale, I figured everyone
would cut me some slack if I make its on-line debut announcement here.
I've just released Start Editing Now! - a 2-disc DVD beginners editing
toolkit.
DISC-1 is a DVD-Video with basic editing skills lessons each of which is
linked to the specially shot practice footage contained on Disc-2
Disc 2 is a DVD-9 that contains a brand new concept called MULTI-TRACK
MOVIES
These are short groups of clips that can be drag & dropped into ANY
popular NLE (PC, Mac, LINUX, whatever) to practice editing.
They're uniquely written and arranged so that a student can edit - and
RE-Edit them without getting bored. (After you edit a movie one way -
you can go back and -by simply substituting different takes-CHANGE the
story!)
The package contains more than 130 clips including main takes, cutaways,
alternates, and added dialog scenes that will provide hours and hours of
editing fun.
I just got back from the Videomaker Expo where I introduced the concept
and got an AMAZING reaction from the attendees - particularly from the
education crowd. It appears they've all been looking for something fun
(and copyright cleared!) to use in editing classes forever and we sold
more copies to teachers than any other single category last week during
the product launch.
For RVP regulars, I should also note that the DP was our own Bill
Farnsworth. (who iirc implied that if my wife Linda keeps hiring similar
actresses he might consider working on Volume 2 on an exclusively beer
and food basis!)

product - and if you have any connections with schools or similar
