I came across the following two sites the other day and thought that
some folks here might be interested in checking them out.

The first one is aluminum and has 2 different sizes to accomodate
larger diameter lenses while the second one is a fabric lens hood
design. Both are around the same price (under $400) and don't use
rails or rods.
I realize that they're not a Chrosziel (or similar high end
manufacturer) but the price is right.
