I agree with you. I've tried to find an utility that will verify (and
correct) the file integrity of a DVD with no success. DVDshrink is
one that is weak in dealing with those types of errors while I've also
experienced similar weaknesses in a more crappy product AVS Video
Converter.
I have been able to convert the DVD9 to DVD5 using DVD2one.
Interestingly it noted 8 errors but I have no idea where or what the
errors were.
At any rate, the DVD appears to work.
