I have been with Studio from the early days, and when it works,
it is really good. But it has been a real struggle, to be fair I
should have ditched a long time ago. 10 Plus was and still is a
disaster, even with the 10.5 patch. I know my way round a PC,
but had little free time so had my dedicated system set up with
10 by a professional, the machine updated where needed, in fact
more than twice the recomended spec, all tuned by a specialist
company, Pinnacles agent, mind you. I ought to have taken the
hint, as they were not too happy working with Studio, but I
guess they did not want to turn away business.
I have gone back to version 9, it is far more stable.
Pinnacles/Avid have a real nerve in offering for sale to a
public who in the main are probably not PC saavy, a piece of
merchandise that clearly does not do what it says it will do. To
me, it is totally unacceptable, dishonest, immoral, and if
tested in a law court, probably illegal.
