That is interesting as I have the same Phillips 642/37 player and have
no problem with DivX files that I don't alread have on my computer
even with the extension divx, I think.
I have however found that my encodes are better with XviDs and now
consider DivX a totally second rate product. I was particularly
frustrated with sync troubles I had with DivX 5 & 6.
I found I have more control over the encodes and am able to totally
eliminate the trouble I was having with XviDs.
