Electronics is as cheap as they can bring it to us, and nothing you
say is going to change that immutable fact.
The motherboard in your computer has over $2000 worth of components
on it, when bought individually. The fact that you can buy one for
under $100 is due to the way the electronics industry works. Demand
is huge, but so are numbers purchased, so the price goes down, not up.
Stereos used to be pretty expensive at a mere 40 Watts per channel.
Now, one can buy a 6 channel, 100 Watt per unit with stereo, dolby,
Digital Dolby, DTS, etc, etc. They are far far better than they have
ever been, yet you can get that unit for less than $200.
Is any of this sinking in? You analyze the stereo receiver market
and technology growth over the last 40 years, and you will find the
perfect model for how the electronics industry is most often operated.
Sure there are flukes, and those outside the curve (Bose), but most
give you a high quality device at a very low price when all factors
are weighed in.
Again, you should stop slamming that stupid mindset in your head,
and start looking at what you are actually getting. The industry is
mad with high tech offerings, and they are very high tech.
They ain't free. You want to call something high in price, bitch
about cameras and lens systems, digital or otherwise. Even those have
a lot of technology in them. Oh, wait... does that put me in the
same boat as you? SHit.
