I know you asked about R2 but I know for sure that the US R1 Legacy
Set Alien DVD has 2 isolated tracks, Original Film Score and Alternate
Music and Production Sound. One or two of the deleted scenes are
different cuts than those on the Quad. The Quad also does not have the
awesome Nostromo data easter egg. You know the data of the Nostromo
crew in ALIENS that's behind Ripley when she explains what happened on
Nostromo? It's on the ALIEN DVD! The alien's life-cycle is another
easter egg on ALIEN DVD, not too much of a biggie. I THINK (not sure)
that the storyboards for that film aren't on the Quad. The other three
films in the Legacy Set may or may not have stuff not in the Quad...
extras kinda blend when it comes to those. Memory wants to say a
documentary was different on ALIEN3 or Ressurection. If you are a real
fanatic you might want to know that the LaserDisc section on the Bonus
Disc of the Quad set is actually different (minor differences) than
the actual SE LaserDisc sets. But these are all about my R1 sets and
the R2 may differ. I would Never get rid of my Legacy set.
