This has the potential of being very bad news for Apple software.
Even back when Apple was using the PPC chips, the number of
software vendors offering Mac versions was seriously in decline.
Now that IA Macs can be dual-booted to MSwin (or even
run MSwin "adapters" within OSX) there will be even less
incentive for your favorite application vendor to go to the
trouble of developing a Mac version for the miniscule market.
The only thing that might save Apple/Mac is availability of
development tools that make it easier to make both a MSwin
(90% market) and a MacOS (10% market) version of the same
application. With Intel Architecture (IA) Macs, it might make
it easier for application vendors to make dual-platform releases(?)
