 Guess I overlooked Region 2 NTSC.
 Live & learn.
 
 So, what about the "easily burn a PAL-formatted Video DVD in just
 about any DVD authoring application" thingy. I use Nero. Didn't see a
 PAL/NTSC option anywhere. (to burn the test disk!).
 
 So next question is what dvd player best does the "techy" conversion
 bit best? and in software or hardware? (have to be h/w and if so is a
 chipset identified that is best?).
 
 LG, my current dvd player supplier, is silent (site & manual) but
 google shows a couple of people say it works.
 Hence the start of the thread.
 
 My tv ts (lcd rear proj) say NTSC only.
 
 I'd buy a $50 unit just to play these bad boys if I knew it was the
 best buy for the money. & remember these here authored many years ago!
