I don't doubt it. I'm used to using my GL2 and can do pretty well at  
controlling the shakes. But recently I decided to shoot one event with  
the GL2 on a tripod and I would handhold a little JVC miniDV to do some  
shooting for cutting between the two angles. After about 10 minutes of  
practicing before the event I decided I couldn't get any usuable footage  
with the little camera, and it has vibration reduction. It's just too  
little and too light. Simply touching the zoom button made an obvious shake.
