Everybody seems to recommend Liteon, so when Office Max reduced their
clearance price on the SOHW-1673SX external burner to $60 (from Monday's
$80) I bought one. If somebody has one, could they tell me if it will
work with DVD Shrink 3.2, DVD Decrypter (and Fab Decrypter), 123 Copy DVD,
I copy DVD 2, DVD X Copy (although old, weems to work better in handling
scratched discs) and basic Record Now! (OEM version). I also use WinOnCD5
to copy CDs.
I have bought Nero Ultra 7, but there's been enough talk about it that I'm
waiting until I upgrade to Win XP SP2 before installing it, since it seems
to be mentioned as the cause of other burning software not working after
the SP2 patch is applied. I'n hoping some or all of the other software
will continue to work with the Liteon burner and when I install Nero won't
make a difference.
Suggestions appreciated.

Ps They _say_ USP 2 for connection (apparently no Firewire), but would it
work at a slower burning speed with USB 1? I have a 733 MHz Pentium III
running on Win '98SE that is theoretically within the minimum requirements
on the Liteon box.
