It's nice to think that, but the reality is that most HDTV displays don't
offer all their stretch and zoom modes when accepting an HD input. Also,
it's much easier to do it inside the player, where it has access to the
compressed data, because then it can do it automatically to fit your
preferences based on what TV you tell it you have connected.
