I guess that explains why the three-hour setting gave me
12-minute segments instead of 6-minute segments. I still lose
one or two sentences between segments, though, so that doesn't
work very well for me.

However, we tried going with the six-hour setting. We got the
full hour of the video, but my pedal wouldn't work with it. So
that won't work.

Guess I'll have to try the four-hour setting next.

It's actually a lot confusing <g>.

Actually, the system I'm using was made exactly for this purpose.
It's the StartStop system, put out by HTH. I do know it works
for other transcriptionists; just haven't been able to get it to
work properly for me--yet. I'm thinking my problem is in the way
it's recorded, especially since DH was able to make the one-hour
file in one piece (just won't work with my pedal).

I've not heard of anyone using QuickTime for this setup, and I'm
not familiar with AVI. I'll check them out. I'd prefer to get
this thing working, if possible, though, since I know it has
worked for others in my field. Spending money on another pedal
and software is something I want to avoid, if at all possible.

Thanks!
