I just read today that an HDMI input is required to play HD DVD. I do not
have that kind of input, my set has only the typical 1080i component inputs,
as well as RGBHV (the five RCA jacks) inputs.
Is this true? Is there no way to interface these two connector types?
While I want HD DVD very much as my 1080i HD cable looks WAY better than my
progressive scan DVD player (420p), I am not about to chuck my Phillips 34"
direct view (I LOVE THIS SET!). I know very little about this stuff so
forgive me if my questions seems naive.
