That was then.. this is now. In general, the exact same hardware will
work in both PC and Mac. I've put in hardware like 7.1 M-audio sound
cards, Belkin USB 5-port cards, kenston memory chips, DVD-R/-RW Players,
SCSI adapters, and even replaced video cards, all by walking into my
local CompUSA, Best Buy, or Fryes walking right into the PC peripherals,
choosing a card and buying it. Non of these things were any more cost
than a PC only peripherals. So, I always get really perplexed when
people make statements like you make.

And, in general.. sometimes things don't say they work with a Mac on the
package, but I've found a lot more than not they actual do. For
example, I bought a USB to Parallel cable for Parallel only printers..
dosnt' say anything like OSX or OS9 on the box.. but it worked like a champ.
