Bad burns on bad discs. Get Taiyo Yuden 8x discs at rima.com and burn
at 8x.

The reason the errors happen on the outer edge is because the speed of
the track is faster there.

What is the MID? The brand name is largely irrelevant.

Try 12x and then 8x.
I do not use 16x discs because they are a waste of money. If I did use
them I would not burn any faster than 12x, which is not that much
faster than 8x. I use TY 8x burned at 8x and save money - and get very
reliable burns.

You should play around with Nero CD-DVD Speed.

Scan some of the bad discs and you will see what is going on. Use the
"Disc Quality" scan. Pay attention only to PIF Errors.
