I'm looking to buy a DVD Recorder, specifically the Ellion DVR950S, but
I live in Ireland and can only buy it via Britain. The problem is that
I brought in a VCR some time ago from Britain and the tuner range was
different to that in Ireland, so I couldn't tune in the Irish tv
channels.

How can I find out what the Irish broadcast frequencies are, and how do
I find out if the model I'm interested in can handle it? If I bring in
this model of DVD recorder, am I likely to have the same problems, or
does modern technology eliminate this hassle?
