I think page 45 of the Instruction Book is confusing. It seems to
indicate that 1080i signals can only be deinterlaced through the
analogue
connection inputs.
Actually there is an interesting rteview of the projector on
www.cine4home.com
It speaks of edge fraying in the HDMI signal. They say it needs a
firmware update!
