We have the same amount of english as math, norwegian, history,
religion and all the other stuff from the 4th grade and up, but still
I feel some grammer is wrong (I can feel it when I type) sometimes,
and sometimes I can't find an enlish word for the norwegian one (but
then that happends the other way as well, it's sometimes hard to find
a good norwegian word for an english word that I DO know what is :-)
From the 6th (or maybe it's 7th now as children start at 6 now, not 7
as earlier) we also get one more foreign language (most take german,
some french). So most norwegian at least can read and understand that.
And in addition the scandinavian languages are very similar. So I can
easily understand swedish and danish (Norway is an expensive country,
so we either drive to Sweden or take a 24h party-cruise to Denmark to
shop meat and alcohol and party with cheap drinks on the boat :-)))))
(a bit off topic maybe, please follow-up to somewhere else :-)
