Getting Windows 2000 to let MP3s go so that they can be edited?

Posted by Cerulean on 05/08/06 07:12

I have an older computer (PIII, 650 MHz, 128 SDRAM). I'm having
difficulty editing the ID3 tags and renaming files, etc., because
Windows 2000 doesn't let go. I was told in an MS group that the group
would know of a workaround. Apparently there is a way to let the OS
let go of the files so one work with them. Does anyone know the
solution? It gets very annoying when one can't edit one's files
properly.

TIA.
