In Massachusetts and in Congress Verizon is seeking to get a
blanket franchise. In other words they don't have to deal with
each and every town (issuing authority).
In the US congress this is known as COPE bill (no number yet!) and
it will probably pass because it is being spun as "consumer choice!"
BUT it also means that there will be no funding from Verizon for
local access public television!
Your thoughts!?
