Do all mp3 players work like the iPod in the following respects?
1) The file organization depends on the id3 tag contents, and the
player cannot simply keep the directory-and-filename tree from the
computer hard drive.
2) The controlling software is all on the computer (iTunes) and there
is hardly no software functionality built into the player (delete,
move,rename). Does every player come packaged with its own proprietary
software, or is there some generic approach?
3) Do they all allow successive selection of genre, then artist, then
album, then title?
