Advertised? As in for money? If it's a pay package, that should clue
you in. Otherwise.. Have you seen anybody talk about it on any
webforums? If you're afraid of spyware, obviously the basic rules are
the same - buy anti-virus softeware, and at least download spybot
and/or Lavasoft's anti-spyware program, and keep them updated.
Also, give the EULA a bit more attention than you might - some
comparitively decent guys will at least reference their malware there.
Kazaa did that with Cydore (sp.?) and I thought enough not to install
it. From what I've heard, I did the right thing. Anything that says
"market research" should tip you off.
