So far I do not see any spyware or trojan's in WINMX. I know Kaaza is
loded
with them. I'm not sure about Limewire. Does anyone have anything to
report about issues with any of the three??

I enjoyed years of pop-up free computing while using WinMX. I'd be
surprised if anybody tried to make WinMX into a platform for ad-ware
ala KaZaa - it's much too hostile to inexperienced users who seem to be

the number one target of ad-ware purveyors.

Nor will you, if you download from the Official (free) WinMX website:
www.winmx.com
Compendium of Help sites:

> I know Kaaza is loded with them.

One might say KaKaa is the "mother-loded" of them all.

So few people are.

Without doubt - and a general purpose file-sharing discussion group
exists
at alt.internet.p2p - where you're sure to find some answers. People
here,
generally and for the most part, are satisfied with WinMX, despite an
occassional performance quirk or two. HTH.

Well, JolsonFan / Paul3086 / Paul . . . . Kaaza is, apparently, loded
with
spyware or trojan's. So I wouldn't use it.

Kazaa free version yes.
Kazaa pay version no.

See earlier link.

Thanks for the tip, Dave, but my main reason for not using Kazaa is
that
it's a pile of utter shite, straight from Satan's arse. The fact that
it
may, or may not be (I sense your inexperience in P2P matters) "loded
with
spyware or trojan's" AS WELL is neither here nor there. Sorry for the
confusion.

I guess that's helpful - it looks like both versions are for pay.

Limewire? But DEFINITELY!!!!!!! Trojan's? Mah fellow Americans, I did
not have sex with that Trojan broad.

Yes, the dreaded "134.4KB" file is (UNFORTUNATELY!!!) still active,
alive, malicious, and well!

You can read my replies at the Gnutella Forums (Gnutells produced
Limewire for you newbies).

ANYTIME that aforementioned 134.4KB size, or underlines l_i_k_e this
occur between letters or words, or caps show up, you've been "invitied"
to those Trojans.>angry:.<

i'm just Jenny on the block
--and nom, while I did not have sex with Monica, I at least kept my
sanity.
