I too have Adobe Production Studio and have used Encore quite a lot in
burning DVD's
However a word of warning if you are intending to burn DVD's using encore
which contain a lot of still material. I tried to create a DVD in Encore
which contained about 300 stills and the Encore UI was very slow - almost to
the point of being unusable. For example, it you tried to do anything to a
menu it could take up to 5 minutes to respond - on a 3ghz 2gb ram machine.
This is because Encore has this habit of re-enumerating all of the project
assets under certain circumstances - making it very slow. if you don't have
many assets, this can work in your favour.
My work around was to create slide show mpeg files in Ulead DVD picture show
and then import the mpegs into Encore. Instead of 400 stills I have 4 mpeg
movies, which Encore was much happier with.
