I have never ONCE used a source that you considered valid. Not my own
experience nor that of my customers or colleauges. Not DV Magazine,
nor Videomaker nor Consumer Reports nor the Wall Street Journal. You
shoot every one of them down because they don't validate your opinion.
That doesn't make them any LESS valid; rather, the fact that the data
doesn't support you makes YOUR claims less valid.

In this part of the world serious facilities use Avid and FCS.
Pinnacle, Adobe and Sony Vegas are used almost entirely by smalls shops
and independents.

It is true that Mac gets an edge by seeding product at universities.
Other than that, many people (including competent Avid editors) just
like it. Or, they may prefer Avid but appreciate Apple's value. OR,
they may use a Mac-based Avid.

I'm sure if I read other industry magazines regularly I would find
additional praise for Apple and FCS. You wouldn't give in if the sweet
Lawzy Jeezus came down and told you to hisself.

People who research the products will find more than one solution that
will do the job and do it well and Apple and FCS will be one of them.
Then they'll make a decision based on price, value and what they are
most comfortable with.

Well at least you admit there are tons of FCP rigs in L.A.

L.A. may be the market leader but it is not the only market in the U.S.
I know many facilities ditching their dying Avids for FCS suites and
that includes L.A. What makes you think your absurdly biased view of
the world carries any credibility?
