Nobody is forced to use the iTunes music store. I know of MANY iPod users
who NEVER use the iTunes music store. Never. My wife rip'd her CDs to
iTunes, put them on her iPod shuffle and plugs it in only to recharge or
change tunes. Never visited the iTunes store, never used it.
