that was our whole argument too. mac told us that the station is an
authorized repair station, but what they didn't tell us was that the station
was not a warranty station. and YES it did cost a mother of $$$ that's why
were so upset and still are even though it was nearly 8 months ago now. the
sour taste is still in my mouth of that fiasco and i've done my duty to
affect their representation as a result, and quite effectively i might add.
we've helped people make solutions to pc's with avid who were both
researching and deciding and several who were formely apple/mac's and were
updating systems. when they saw the speed of our dual core machine and the
short render times by comparison, let alone the endless windows and pc
combination capabilities it was a cinch decision.

we're not going to give up on our quest either. apple and mac did us wrong
and they know it. moreover, our studies that came out of a group of ITT
students, show processor resources and data stream numbers that show pc
ahead by a long shot, revealing to us why our g5's with fcp were slow.
moreover, using the same apps on the two different platforms and trying to
make crashes, resulted in over 3 dozen crashes (42 as i recall) while avid
crashed only once, that's right ONCE. and then, it lost nothing. on the
other hand two of the fcp crashes resulted in corrupting the apple os which
resulted in hours of troubleshooting and some files rebooted on the os to
get it back up and running period. that is, the machine wouldn't run
because the os failed after two of the over 3 dozen crashes.

on a mission, yours respectfully,

drd :o)
