Umm ... I am running WinMX through a router as a primary connection and it works
alright for me. What you may need do is map an incoming TCP port through your
router, firewall etc. The same goes for UDP. WinMX helps you set up these things
during installation. In case you already installed WinMX, then after you start up,
you click "Settings", click the "+" at the left of "Internet Connection" ... there
you will find the portnumbers needed to open your router
For info about how to configure the router, either check the manual, or go to
< http://www.portforward.com/ > and search for your router.
