Those are called hybrids and are double-sided, one side HD-DVD, the other
side DVD. The HD-DVD side is still completely unplayable on a standard
DVD. Plus, these cost more than a regular HD-DVD disc, and are only
single-layer, at least at the moment.
It's like saying "DVDs are playable in CD players," because DualDiscs have
a CD side and a DVD side.
