The OP asked whether cuts-only editing in Premiere Pro would result in loss
of quality. The answer is, "no." He didn't ask about "processing" video.
Your response was, "YES you will loose quality. DON'T do any trimming."
Sorry, but that is wrong, as Premiere Pro doesn't do any "processing" for
cuts-only edits of DV-codec-encoded AVI source material.
