I use Cool Edit. I decided to look at some parameters for the same
song:

Quality(10-100) KbpsRange MaxBandwidth FileSize

CBR NA 128 15804 4,429
KB

VBR 50 105-140 (128) 17640 4,438 KB

VBR 70 125-175 (160) 19170 5,506 KB

The VBR at 50 had an average Kbps of 128, 70 - 160.

Since I am only going to play these on my computer or player then
support for VBR does not seem to be an issue. I have decided to use
VBR at a Quality of 70 unless someone changes my mind.

Any thoughts?
