I don't see the point of either. Thanks to memories of VHS/Betamax the
sales are hardly going to rocket until one of the formats wins the
battle. By that time who will want to buy them when we can download HD
Movies on demand?

I say this because it will take a couple or three years for one format
to win and higher speed broadband will start to come in by then.
(Korea has 100mbs already)

Anyway the best bet would be to buy a Media Center PC (or Mac) and slot
in whatever drive you want to!

One pod cast I heard said the HD DVD player had to boot up and ran on
Linux. So it's a PC anyway!
