I am thinking of buying a new video recorder. I would like to copy
some old VHS tapes to DVDs. I am considering buying the Samsung
DVD-VR330. It allows to record DVDs and VHS tapes as well as to
transfer the content of old VHS tapes to DVDs. Alternatively, I could
buy a video recorder with a DVD reader/writer and an internal hard
disk to record/play video wich gives me more flexibility for other
uses.

Can I copy VHS tapes from my existing VCR machine by running cables
from it output to the inputs of the video recorder (hard drive/DVD)?
Will the quality of the resulting DVD be as good as copying from tape
to DVD in the one Samsung machine?

Txs, CarlosWA
